  • Lasting memories: Keep your wedding or anniversary flowers in pristine condition.

Step 1 — Select & Prepare Your Flowers

Choose dried or pressed flowers.
Only fully dry flowers should be used to avoid moisture, which can cause cloudiness or bubbles along with change in colour in resin.

Best flowers for resin flower preservation:

  • Roses (wedding or anniversary)

  • Baby’s breath

  • Peonies

  • Daisies

  • Ranunculus and greenery

For the best results, flowers should be dry .

Step 2 — Dry Your Flowers Properly

Proper drying is critical for a perfect resin keepsake. Here are the main methods:

Silica Gel Drying (Recommended)

  1. Fill an airtight container with silica gel crystals.

  2. Bury each flower completely in the gel.

  3. Seal the container and leave untouched for 5-7 days.

  4. Remove and brush off excess silica gel carefully.

This method keeps petals vibrant and prevents shrinking or fading.

Air Drying

Hang flowers upside down in a dark, dry place for 2–6 weeks. Slower but preserves natural shape.

Pressing

Ideal for jewelry or flat resin pieces. Place flowers between parchment paper under heavy books for 1–2 weeks.

Tip: Flowers must feel completely dry and crisp. Any residual moisture will affect the resin quality.

Step 3 — Choose Your Resin & Workspace

Use high-quality epoxy resin that is crystal-clear, UV-resistant, and low-VOC. Avoid cheap resins that yellow over time.

Set up in a clean, dust-free workspace. Must be well ventilated. Cover surfaces with parchment or silicone mats and wear gloves to avoid direct contact with skin.
Gloves recommended (Nitrile) minimum 6mil thick.

Step 4 - choose your mold and make flower arrangements

Choose your available mold and clean it properly using tape.
First try to make flower arrangements before pouring resin, it will gives you rough idea of how your final piece look like or you can make necessary adjustments.

Step 5- Mix and pour resin

Measure resin and hardener according to the manufacturer’s ratio (usually 1:1 recommended for beginners)

  1. Stir slowly for 3–5 minutes to minimize bubbles.

  2. Pour a thin base layer into the mold and let it set slightly.

  3. Arrange dried flowers carefully using tweezers.

  4. Pour additional resin slowly to cover the flowers completely.

Pouring in layers prevents trapped air and ensures flowers stay in place.

Step 6 - Remove Bubbles & Cure

  • Gently use a heat gun(torch) or epoxy release spray to remove bubbles.

  • don’t overuse heat-gun. It  will burn resin.

  • Allow resin to cure completely (24 hours depending on resin type).

  • Avoid moving the mold while curing.

After curing, remove your piece from the mold. Sand or polish edges if needed for a professional finish.
