How to Carefully pack your flowers for Shipping to Said & Sealed

At Said & Sealed, every flower preservation commission is handled with the highest level of care. To ensure your wedding bouquet or memorial florals arrive at our Calgary studio in peak condition, please follow this professional shipping protocol.

1. Advanced Flower Preparation & Hydration

Keep Them Drinking: Until the exact moment you begin packaging, your flowers must stay resting in a vase of fresh water. Keeping them hydrated prevents post-event wilting and bruising.

Prepare the Stem Wrap: Grab a few paper towels or clean tissues and get them damp. You want them wet enough to hold moisture for the journey, but not dripping wet.

Secure the Source: Take your bouquet out of the vase and wrap the damp towels tightly around the bottom of the stems to keep them drinking during transit.

Protect the Blossom Tops: Pop a plastic bag over the wet paper towels and tie it securely with a rubber band or ribbon so it doesn't leak or damage cardboard and flowers during transit.

IMPORTANT :- Never cover the top of the flowers in a plastic bag. Covering the blossom tops traps humidity and causes the flowers to rot during transit. Only cover the wet stem area.

2. Required Documentation

To ensure your order is cataloged correctly upon arrival, please include a clear note inside the package with:

 Full Name

 Contact Email

This prevents administrative delays and ensures your project enters production immediately.

3. Secure Packaging Protocol

Box Selection: Utilize a sturdy cardboard shipping box that comfortably fits your bouquet without crushing or compressing the blooms.

Base Cushioning: Line the bottom of your shipping box with a thick, soft layer of crumpled tissue or packing paper to create a protective pillow.

Gently Nestle: Place your bouquet inside on top of the paper cushion and tuck in any loose edges.

Fill the Gaps: Add extra crumpled paper firmly around all sides of the bouquet. It is crucial to ensure the bouquet cannot roll around or shift during transit.

(this is a reference picture only, please use the box that perfectly fit the bouquet without crushing it.)

4. Courier & Logistics

To guarantee the security of your sentimental items, utilize a tracked and insured courier service. We strictly require an overnight/priority shipping service for fresh florals.

Note: Shipping costs and logistics are the responsibility of the client.

5.  Strategic Timing

Avoid Weekend Transit: We highly recommend shipping on a Monday or Tuesday to ensure your flowers do not sit in a courier warehouse over the weekend.

Tracking Notification: Please email your tracking number to the studio once the package is dispatched.

6. Studio Intake & Production Timeline

Upon arrival at our Calgary studio, your flowers undergo a professional inspection. We will notify you immediately of their condition and begin the precision flower preservation process.

Preservation Production Timeline: 8-12 weeks

This timeline accounts for our multi-layer precision casting, structural curing, and the meticulous hand-polishing required for a diamond-shine glass finish.
